What is the benefit of diving with Nitrox?
Nitrox has a lower percentage of nitrogen than normal pressurised air. As your body absorbs less nitrogen, so you are in less danger of decompression sickness. Also, the higher percentage of oxygen makes you feel better and helps avoid the tired feeling after diving. If you dive with Nitrox, but your dive computer is still calculating for normal air then you dive with a bigger safety margin.

Who is Nitrox suitable for?
It is not necessary to be or become a High-Tech Diver to use Nitrox. Nitrox is suitable for everybody. It is especially recommended for frequent divers, for example on holiday or repetition diving like night and wreck diving. Also beginners make a good choice if they use Nitrox because they often have a problem in shallow water areas with the adjustments and moving like a yo-yo.

Do I need new dive equipment?
No! It is not necessary, but there are different regulations in Germany and Austria . If the percentage of oxygen does not increase 40%, then old equipment can be used in other countries. If you want to get the benefit of longer bottom time you should use a dive computer with Nitrox mode.
You need training! If you want to dive with Nitrox you have 2 choices of course: Nitrox Level 1: Diving with 32 Nitrox in air mode. Nitrox Level 2: Diving with a maximum of 40 Nitrox and dive planning for extension of bottom time and changed depth limits.
